“If you wish to improve, be content to appear clueless or stupid in extraneous matters–don’t wish to seem knowledgeable. And if some regard you as important, distrust yourself.”

Epictetus, Enchiridion, 13a

The older I get, the more I am hit by the reality that I don’t know almost everything. At least if I’m using standard rounding methodologies. The wiser I get, the more okay I am with that fact because there are at least some things I do know, and maybe even one or two things I know well.
